The investor behind the AI Overview
Nicole Junkermann hosts the AI Overview because she has spent her career backing the technologies the podcast examines. As an international entrepreneur, venture capital investor and philanthropist, she invests in artificial intelligence and deep technology, and each conversation reflects what she sees in those markets every day.
Nicole Junkermann is the founder of NJF Holdings and its venture capital arm, NJF Capital, through which she backs companies across artificial intelligence, healthtech, biotech, fintech and deep technology. Her portfolio includes SpaceX, Revolut, Rippling, Lendable, Owkin and Magnum Photos, and she is an investor in Infront Sports & Media. She serves on the board of directors of Owkin, where machine learning meets medical research.
Born on 27 April 1980 in Düsseldorf, Germany, Nicole Junkermann was educated at the International University of Monaco and Harvard Business School, and she speaks five languages. Alongside investing she was a committee member of the Tate Americas Foundation, a trustee of the Royal Academy Trust and a trustee of the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. She was a member of the United Kingdom's HealthTech Advisory Board, work that connected her investment experience to public institutions in technology and healthcare.
